Over the last five years we’ve taken thousands of people through the Conscious Cleanse program and what we know without a doubt is that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to health.

    I can check 8 of the 10. I know I have a sugar addiction. All sugar: cookies, chocolate, candy – I eat an entire bag of sugar coated gummy worms, even fruit is my drug. I eat copious amounts of mango, watermelon and bananas! While I can cut the processed sugar and candy (I know how absolutely horrible gummy worms are for me), I struggle with fruit and want to learn to regulate. I can’t, and really don’t want to, cut that or completely. I am addicted to sugar, plain and simple. I shall be trying the low-sugar plan if I can handle it.

    If I suspect that sugar is slowing down weight loss while cleansing do you suggest green smoothies with only one fruit per smoothie, no fruit??

      Hi Annette, Great question. If you think sugar is slowing down your weight loss then we recommend trying to avoid fruit or going very low fruit. A few smoothie options are the Super Green Smoothie or the Alkalizer Smoothie in the book. Another option is a breakfast salad with either grilled chicken or garbanzo beans.
