There are no calorie restrictions with the Conscious Cleanse. You will be encouraged to eat when you are hungry. This is not a liquids-based or supplement-based cleanse. You will eat from a wide variety of delicious whole foods like green smoothies, fresh fruits, vegetables, non-gluten grains, legumes, nuts, seeds and organic lean meats. You will also be given a robust recipe section for ideas and suggestions.
Get ready to eat the best food of your life. The Conscious Cleanse is a whole food based program. You will eat foods that have not been altered from their original state. This cleanse is suitable for the meat eaters, the vegans and the raw foodies. Foods like fruits and vegetables, salads, nuts, seeds, sprouts and beans. You will also have the option of eating lean, organic grass fed meats, fish, and non-gluten grains like brown rice and buckwheat.
The Conscious Cleanse is based on the idea that there is no such thing as a “one size fits all program.” Instead it is designed to meet you at your starting point and guide you to making small, slow and simple adjustments to your current eating habits.
The Conscious Cleanse is different from other programs out there because we eat a diet free of all common allergens. Eliminating allergens helps reduce inflammation in the body, which is the root of many ailments. At the end of the cleanse, you will learn how to re-introduce these foods back into your diet (if you so choose) to find out for sure how they affect you personally. The results can be life-changing. No kidding!
And last but not least, you will receive unparalleled support throughout your journey. We are here for you and guarantee you get the results you are after.
This is not a one-size fits all program. In fact, we encourage you to eat foods you like and that make you feel good. The Conscious Cleanse is all about supporting people with allergies and if need be, we will offer suggestions for changing recipes to fit your personal needs. We actually find that people with allergies follow the core principles of this program in their everyday lives to continue feeling their best and even reversing conditions that were caused by allergies in the first place.
It’s always important to seek the guidance of your healthcare provider before beginning the Conscious Cleanse, and this would be no exception. In general, it is not advisable for a pregnant or lactating woman to induce any type of detox, as the body’s reactions can affect the baby.
That being said, the Conscious Cleanse – with the exception of the Purification weekends – offers a very healthy way for pregnant and nursing women to eat! The key is to transition very slowly, so as to not to cause any drastic detox. Be willing to make any adjustments you need along the way, such as eating more food than you are used to or supplementing with good reliable sources of protein. When eating a whole foods diet, weight gain should not be a concern, and whatever weight you gain during pregnancy, if based on nutritious choices, will effortlessly fall off after you have the baby.
Yes! There is no calorie restriction with the Conscious Cleanse. Good sources of protein will come from beans and legumes and organic, lean, grass-fed animal meats like chicken, lamb, wild-game and fish.
Yes! This is the perfect program for you because the recipe suggestions are quick and easy. We will give you ideas on how to prepare enough food for multiple meals and tips for simplifying what you eat.
Absolutely! How to eat out in a restaurant, order off of a menu, attend work dinners and maintaining your cleanse while traveling will all be covered on the support calls.
We recommend having a good knife, a decent blender, a cutting board and a journal. If you have a juicer or a food processor, dust ‘em off, as you’ll likely find new use for them during the Conscious Cleanse, but you are certainly NOT required to purchase any special equipment to effectively complete the cleanse.
Definitely not! This cleanse is a process about discovering what is the most optimal way for you to eat and about what foods work in your system and in what combination. We are all different so we don’t expect everyone to have the same food choices.
Once you register for the cleanse you will receive a welcome email explaining the overall process. You will have access to all of the materials via email at the beginning of the transition period, which is 5 days before the cleanse start date.
Truly, the Conscious Cleanse, except for the Purification Days, is designed so that you could safely eat this way year-round. Generally, we recommend that the full program be implemented up to four times per year. We typically recommend cleansing during the first part of the year, to ride the wave of a new year, a fresh start, the feeling of rebirth. It’s a powerful time of the year in our culture, so cleansing is often supported by the people around you. Spring and late summer are also excellent times to cleanse, since there is an abundance of fresh (and less expensive) produce available. Strive to cleanse, at a minimum, at least once per year. You are worth it!
The Conscious Co. was born in Boulder, CO. It’s where Jo & Jules met and are based. If you haven’t visited before we highly recommend putting it on your list of places to go. You’ll frequently find our hometown listed among the best places to live in the U.S. We couldn’t agree more.
Supplements are not required for you to have a amazing results with the Conscious Cleanse. You can get all the results you’re after by eating a whole-food diet. That being said, some of our participants like to take supplements while cleansing to help tone and nourish the colon and to remove old waste matter. If you do decide to add cleansing supplements to your cleanse be sure to seek out a high-quality product line that you trust. A good colon cleanse supplement contains an herbal blend, fiber, and a toxin absorbent.
We love to hear from all of our participants. If you have a story to share, please submit with a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org.
