I’m writing today from one of my favorite places – underneath a tree at my local Boulder Farmer’s Market. It’s hot and the market is bustling with excitement, bursting with color and filled with the sweet smell of summertime!
Part of the appeal of visiting a local farmer’s market, apart from the entertainment, visiting with friends, sampling the goods and connecting to the people who grow your food (as if all that wasn’t enough!), is that the sun-kissed, fresh-from-the-earth food that you get at the farmer’s market tastes better than any other food you can buy!
The recipe below features a favorite new addition to my kitchen cabinet – Champagne Vinegar. Be sure to visit your local farmer’s market or roadside farm stand and pick up some fresh greens and radishes for this simple, yet delicious earthy summertime salad.
What is your farmer’s market favorite? Leave me a comment below. I’d love to hear from you.
