Our goal is vibrant health, and like all goals, achievement is found in the journey.
Sometimes you have to trudge uphill, sometimes you get to stroll in the park, but there are no shortcuts. We “succeed” as we go.
Our friend JJ Virgin quoted Dr. Daniel Amen this week as saying the #1 predictor of longevity is consciousness. And as we’re sure you can imagine, we certainly agree with that!
A conscious life is a never-ending balancing act, and the first step to living a longer, better, more fulfilling and rewarding life is recognizing when you’re out of alignment – off balance.
Of course, learning how to recognize this is also a part of the journey, but with the right tools, it’s all there for the taking. And, surprisingly, the more times you veer off course, the more experience you’ll have in finding your way back. Balance is not innate…we’re not born knowing how to walk, or even crawl. We learn. With some effort and some coaching we learn to crawl, and then we learn to walk. And with some more work and more coaching – and with a whole lot of consciousness – we can climb mountains, we can do handsprings on the balance beam.
Sometimes there is a strange comfort found in the chaos of life, in ill health, in being broke or overweight. What do you do to get back into balance and create order from the roller coaster of chaos? What does vibrant health look like to you? Please leave us a note in the comment section below. We love hearing from you.
In the coming days and weeks we are going to explore the tools that we have stocked our tool kit with, the tried an true methods and techniques that help us work through the stuff of life, the things that keep us looking and feeling our best.
At the end of the day, the seemingly small shifts add up to big changes. We crawl, and one day, we find ourselves balanced up on two feet. And suddenly, but not without a few stumbles, we’re off and running. And that, friends, is what the path to vibrancy is all about.
With love and green veggies,
